JOIN OUR TEAM

The Bruin Initiative is always looking for new volunteers!

In addition to providing invaluable help to several Los Angeles high-school students, Bruin Initiative tutors gain strong teaching experience and create truly strong bonds (and possibly gain new roommates) along the way!

Volunteers are expected to attend our weekly general meetings (generally one-hour, date to be determined) to discuss topics and issues surrounding test-preparation and college-admissions instruction and the community we serve.

Please note that volunteers are not required to work all of our programs. They are able to freely choose what programs they participate in and how they are involved.

Volunteers are also highly encouraged to join us in numerous Bruin Initiative socials held throughout the year (generally including a customary visit to the Cheesecake Factory, because who doesn't like the Cheesecake Factory?).
